Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the Forte iOS app and the backend service it connects to. By creating an account you agree to them.
1 Acceptance
By creating a Forte account, or by continuing to use Forte after these terms change, you agree to be bound by them and by our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't create an account — or delete the account you have.
2 What Forte is and isn't
Forte is a tool to help you find and apply to jobs faster. It scans public job boards, scores postings against your résumé, generates tailored documents, and runs private skill assessments.
Forte is not a recruiter, an agent, or a legal representative. We do not guarantee employment, interview invitations, or any specific outcome from your job search.
3 Your account
You're responsible for keeping your password private and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorized access, change your password immediately and contact support.
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
4 Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Forte to impersonate another person or to submit material that isn't yours to submit.
- Upload content that infringes someone else's intellectual property, privacy, or rights.
- Abuse the service — scripted scraping, automated mass purchases, attempts to bypass rate limits, or probing of our infrastructure.
- Use Forte for anything illegal.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with notice where reasonable.
5 AI-generated content
Match scores, fit highlights, gaps, red flags, tailored résumés, cover letters, and assessment questions are generated by large language models. These outputs are not guaranteed to be accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose.
You are responsible for reviewing and editing AI-generated content before submitting it to an employer, sharing it with another person, or relying on it for any decision. See the Privacy Policy for the full disclaimer.
6 Your content
You own the résumés, profile data, and anything else you submit to Forte. By using the service you grant us a limited licence to process that content only to provide the features of the app — match scoring, document generation, assessment — and for no other purpose. We do not sell your content or share it beyond the third-party processors listed in the Privacy Policy.
7 Subscriptions
Forte offers optional Premium subscriptions through Apple's in-app purchase system. Prices, billing frequency, and plan details are shown at the point of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Manage and cancel subscriptions through Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iPhone. We do not process refunds directly — refund requests are handled by Apple under their standard policies.
8 Free tier limits
Free accounts are limited to a specific number of scans, tailored résumés, cover letters, résumé imports, and test sessions per rolling window. Premium subscriptions lift those limits to generous fair-use ceilings that prevent abuse.
Exact numbers may change as we tune costs. Significant changes are announced in-app.
9 Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete my account in the app. We may terminate or suspend an account that violates these terms. Where reasonable, we'll give notice first and a chance to resolve the issue.
10 Warranty disclaimer
Forte is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, or suitable for any purpose.
11 Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Forte and its operators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including lost job opportunities, lost data, incorrect AI output, or downstream effects of acting on AI output without reviewing it.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us (if anything) in the twelve months preceding the claim.
12 Changes to these terms
If we change these terms, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and surface a notice in the app the next time you open it. Continued use of Forte after the notice means you accept the new terms. If you don't, you can delete your account.
13 Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Forte's operator is based, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes must be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless applicable consumer law says otherwise.
