The job search that tells you the truth.
Forte reads your real résumé, scans real postings, and scores every role honestly — gaps, red flags, and all. Then it tailors your résumé per job using only facts from your own history.
Scanning real postings on
what you get
Fewer jobs. More signal.
Forte is designed around the honest numbers — the ones that change the quality of your next application, not the length of your Sent folder.
what's broken
Job hunting feels rigged. It is.
The signal-to-noise on modern boards is terrible. You can't tell which roles are realistic for you, and the ones you apply to don't write back.
ATS keyword theatre
Your résumé is graded on word matches, not what you've actually built. Copy the posting verbatim or get filtered — whether or not you'd do the job.
Template spray
Auto-apply bots send the same résumé to 600 roles. Recruiters see it. Your domain gets flagged. Your real applications land in spam.
The ghosting loop
No feedback means no recalibration. You apply blindly, get nothing back, and can't tell whether the problem is your résumé, your pitch, or the posting.
the product
Three jobs. One app.
Forte does exactly three things, end-to-end, in a native iOS app. Here they are.
01 · scan
Daily scans, filtered to your titles and cities.
Forte's AI picks 60+ companies that match your profile — not a generic feed. It fans out across eight real sources and stops when it's found the best matches for today.
- 60+ companies picked specifically for your profile
- Eight sources: Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, LinkedIn, Indeed, Workday, RemoteOK
- One scan per day, ≈90 seconds, push when ready
02 · score
Every posting scored 0–100, with receipts.
Forte scores the whole posting — not just keywords. You see why a role fits (strongest overlaps with your résumé), where it doesn't (honest gaps), and the red flags the posting is hiding.
- Three fit highlights per role, grounded in your résumé
- Three honest gaps with a one-line "here's what to say" hint
- Up to three red flags — vague scope, ghost postings, scrappy-culture tells
03 · tailor
Résumé rewritten in the posting's language. Facts stay yours.
Every tailored résumé is constrained to what's in your profile. A GPT-4o vision review pass reads the rendered PDF and flags any claim that doesn't trace back to the source. You see the diff before you send.
- Real LaTeX compilation — not an HTML-to-PDF hack
- Self-correcting review loop catches hallucinations
- One-tap cover letter in your voice, not a template
features
Everything in the app earns its keep.
No "AI-powered" checkbox features. Six deliberate capabilities, each built around the same principle: tell the truth, waste no time.
Every posting scored 0–100, not "90% match".
Three overlaps, three gaps, up to three red flags — all grounded in your actual résumé and the actual posting text.
One tap. One résumé per job.
Rewritten in the posting's language. No invented content.
Drafts that don't read like templates.
A fresh letter per application. Edit every line.
Eight boards. Your titles and cities.
Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable — plus live web search.
Six topics. Pulled from your résumé.
Quietly calibrated. Answers stay on your device.
Your résumé stays yours.
No ads. No third-party analytics SDKs. No ad networks. Skill-test answers never leave your device. Delete your account in one tap — it cascades across every table on our backend in seconds.
how it works
From résumé to applied in four steps.
Drop in your résumé
Upload your PDF. Forte parses it into a structured profile — companies, titles, dates, bullets, skills — in a few seconds. Nothing leaves this flow until you save it.
Set your targets
Pick the titles you want, the cities you'd move for, and what to exclude (recruiter-heavy boards, specific companies, "staff-engineer" roles if you're not ready). Takes about a minute.
Scan real job boards
Tap Scan. Forte's AI picks 60+ companies for your profile and fans out across eight sources. ≈90 seconds later you have scored matches with full receipts — gaps, overlaps, red flags.
Apply with confidence
Open a strong match. Generate a tailored résumé and cover letter in under ten seconds each. Review the diff. Edit anything. Hit send. You're still the human — we just load the gun.
how forte compares
Not a job board. Not an auto-apply bot.
Here's what those categories give you, and where Forte is different.
| Traditional job boards | Auto-apply bots | ||
|---|---|---|---|
| How roles are ranked | Keyword filters | Whatever passes the bot's rules | Full-posting AI score 0–100 |
| Tells you the red flags | ✗ | ✗ | ✓ up to 3 per role |
| Tailors each résumé | ✗ | Invents content | ✓ your facts only |
| Respects your sender reputation | — | Spams up to 600/day | You hit send. Always. |
| Tracks you / sells your data | Yes | Yes | ✓ Never. 0 trackers. |
| Free to start | ✓ | ✗ | ✓ and it stays useful |
who built this
A note from the person who made it.
Ontario, Canada
I built Forte as a private side project because I was actively job hunting in Ontario in 2026 and I was done with how broken the whole thing felt.
Every board promised a better filter. Every "AI tailoring" tool either invented experience I didn't have or charged me per application. Every auto-apply bot seemed designed to train recruiters to mark my domain as spam. And nobody — not a single tool I tried — would just tell me the truth about whether a role was a realistic fit or why it wasn't.
So I wrote it for myself first. Scan. Score. Tailor. Show me the red flags. Tell me when the match is a 41, not a fake 93. Use only facts from my real résumé. Never send anything on my behalf. When it started working for me, I turned it into an app.
Forte isn't trying to be the biggest job tool. It's trying to be the one you'd recommend to a friend who's job-hunting and tired.

frequent questions
Things people ask us.
Does Forte actually apply for me?
No — and that's a deliberate choice. Forte ranks postings, drafts a tailored résumé and cover letter, and hands them back to you. You're still the one pressing submit. Auto-apply tools get you ghosted at scale; we'd rather help you send five great applications than fifty forgettable ones.
Will my résumé get ChatGPT-flavoured?
We constrain the model to use only facts it finds in your résumé, experience and skills. A self-correcting vision-review pass catches hallucinations before the PDF reaches your phone. You can always edit the output.
Where do the jobs come from?
Public postings on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workable, RemoteOK, plus a live web search across LinkedIn, Indeed and Workday. Forte's AI picks target companies and ATS slugs specific to your profile instead of a one-size-fits-all feed.
How private are the skill tests?
Questions are generated on our backend from topics extracted from your résumé. Your answers stay local to the iOS app — we only store which topic you completed and at what level, so the matcher can skip roles that would waste your time.
Is there a web app?
Today Forte is iPhone-only — that's where the skill tests, Apple in-app purchases, and the side-drawer UX live. A web companion is on the roadmap for people who'd rather paste jobs from a desktop browser.
Can I cancel?
Any time, inside iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. The app never takes your card directly — Apple handles billing end-to-end.

Why we score jobs instead of filtering them
Every job board promises a better filter. We think the filter is the wrong abstraction — and here's what we built instead.
EngineeringHow we tailor résumés without inventing anything
Tailoring is easy if you let the model make things up. Tailoring honestly takes a vision-review loop and a lot of restraint.
